Here's the finished pencil drawing of Cupo and Ajan. It is obvious, and I don't want to deny it, that this whole thing looks very much like Werner comic - the joint-less limbs, the caricatured bodies... It wasn't intentional (there's not that much similarity) but I'm happy that, as Werner is to the world of biker-fans, Cupo and Ajan become a symbols of idiotic characters from every-day life in Bosnia.
I'm really looking forward to inking this and even more to working on the full comic.
I can not show you the whole inked comic... partly because it's still not inked till the end but mainly because my publisher said so... but I can show you one image that I'm really satisfied how it turned out. If you flick trough the penciled images some post back you'll see where does this fit in the overall story.
When there are no posts - there are no post for weeks. But when there are, they come each day.
Last night I finished the first sketch for comic about Saraja and Nepismeni. I still don't know the space I'll have available for comic so there are no image borders drawn. And no background... Also, the dialogue is very rough as this is just the demonstration of the concept.
But as the moto of this blog is "publish everything you draw" I'm publishing this too.
Behold, an update!
Let's try to kick start this blog once again.
First punch - a bunch of weekly political comics.
Then, if this wasn't enough, some of the sketches for the comics.
Character design for a comic I'm negotiating for. The characters are - Saraja (the one with glasses) which stands for Sarajevska raja (loosely translated it will be Sarajevo mates), and Nepismeni (the other one) who is a bad influence (loosely translated as no-peace-men, or illiterate one).
And at the end the very first proper drawing of Čupo and Ajan. This might be a big comic one day... But here's just the first scan of unfinished drawing.
There are also some images of that Traitan comic. You remember, the most serious comic I'm doing at the moment? Well, I'm not allowed to show them to you so I can only tell you that I didn't ruined them with ink and that the editor is satisfied with them.
Amnesia in color x2
Here are the finished color pieces of the drawings I've been working on.
