New Amnesia (being made)
I will not show you the new episodes of Amneisa (the old one) but I will show you everything else.

When I draw the comic I like to have a piece of paper to sketch the action, character positions etc. Some of those papers "stick around" for couple of weeks while I finish five or more pages. Yesterday I filled the last inch of free space on one and I decided to show it to you.

Amnesia isn't complicated as a character and there is no need to make detailed sketches of page layout. What makes it tricky is the punchline of the joke. That has to be placed at precise place and it should depict the precise moment in time (action). Among all these quick sketches lie the page layout ideas. Some have stick-man figures, some not even those.

Now, where does all this magic take place? Here's a photo of my drawing table with new episodes being drawn. You see the paper under the black marker pen? That's the one I was talking about (the photo is one episode "old").

Presenting...
Kid AMNESIA, a first time look at how it was to live as a forgetful child before becoming a super-hero. Influenced heavily by many newspaper comic strips of the past (and we can't wait to hear from you when you come across our rip-offs), this story of an ordinary day-to-day life of a slightly extraordinary boy will make you laugh, cry-out with outrage and maybe even feel sad a little.

The first run will consist of two comic strips every two weeks (or so) and will fill in for the super-hero Amnesia until he's ready to return from hiatus. We will try to get them out to you every other Thursday but make sure to sign-up to our RSS feed or follow us on Twitter just so that you don't miss out on anything.

In the end, I really do hope you enjoy these stories as much as we enjoyed creating them.

Thank you for coming!

Awarded at Comic festival in Leskovac
Last week a 12th Festival of Young Artists from Balkan was held in Leskovac, Serbia. There was a lot of great comic drawings and authors there (over 150 artists submitted their work and over 50 of them ware present) and it was, as always a great joy to be one of them. Three years ago Amnesia won the award for best screenplay there so I'm more than happy to visit Leskovac year after year.

This year I went there with Senad Mavric, fellow comic artist from Sarajevo, expecting a good time drawing comics and nothing more. You can imagine my surprise when they announced that I've won the award for best drawing!

Having won three years ago was such an inspiration and motivation for me to continue drawing comics. And I thought, if they are to award a person from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they did for three years in a row, they are going to award one of my younger colleagues, somebody who is still in doubt if he or she should continue drawing comics.
Yet, they awarded me. And not only me - Emir Pasanovic, who has ghost-written the comic "Traitan" (among other work I drawn) and translated Amnesia into English, has won the 1st prize for best comic books theory (texts written about comics).

A lot of comic artists at the Festival liked the sneak-peek of episodes from 2nd book of Amnesia. Which motivates me enormously to continue work on the book.
