Kid Amnesia in print!
This week we received some excellent news: Kid Amnesia was published for the first time in a kids magazine Palcic (Thumbling) and below you can see the scan of the first published page!

Although we started this as a web-comic without much hope to get published until we had more finished material, this paid gig has put more wind into our sails. We hope to bring you even more fun content and a new web design as soon as possible. There will certainly be two more comic strips before New Year’s, but for now, we’ve had more than enough excitement!
Below you can find the translation of the introduction to the first comic strips by Lamija Begagić, editor of Palcic who made this cooperation possible. The competition is open only to BiH school children 5-9 years of age.

KID AMNESIA ADVENTURES IN NEW COMICS FORM!

Kid Amnesia is a very unusual boy, in the sense that, in just a few seconds or minutes, he will forget what just happened to him. This comic book was developed and created by Emir Pasanović (writer) and Esmir Prlja (artist).

We have to admit, in real life this type of forgetfulness wouldn’t be very funny, but in comics it can be endlessly entertaining and fun. Below you can see two episodes with new adventures of this new comic book hero.

The third, empty comic strip you can draw your own Kid Amnesia adventure and fill in the coupon. Send it to our address at:

Palčić (Za strip “Amnezija Mali”)

Jovana Bijelića 7

71000 Sarajevo, Bosna i Hercegovina

We will publish your most imaginative stories and give out some interesting awards after the holidays!

In the end, we wish you all the best for this holiday season!

We didn't win...
... but at least we can show you the comic we submitted to 6yka comic/cartoon contest.

Emir wrote it and inked it and I did the pencils.

Happy whatever!
64 posts after the last one, here is the new winter/Christmas/New Year/... whatever you celebrate greeting card.

Does 64 posts make for a good year? I believe so.
When I look back to all the things that happened to me last year, in and out of comics business, I can say that it was one of the best years ever. Since I printed the 1st book of Amnesia the years have gradually became better and better for me, so I'm very eager to see what the next one has in store (as I'm printing the 2nd book then).

I'm sure Emir and Esmir will have a Kid Amnesia reminiscence post as well, but anyway I have to say that the appearance of Kid Amnesia has helped a lot in this being a good year.

And, I hope that we have made your year a little bit better as well with our comics and other artwork. We are looking forward to doing the same (and more!) in 2011.

All the best!

Pencil works and sketches
Hmm... how do I show you the work I done if I can't show you the finished products. I can show you the sketches. And that's something, right?

First stop - anti corruption comic I drawn based on Emir's script. Emir did the inking and it was sent for a competition in Banja Luka, Bosnia. Why can't I show you the finished work? Because they still haven't announced the winner.

Second, I did a series of two caricatures for a client. The finished artwork ended up looking quite different to these sketches but, as it was done for a specific request from a specific client, I can't show it to you.

And there is also a third thing I've drawn, inked and digitally colored but I can not show you either the sketches, finished pencils, inks or colors. But I did draw (it). And one day it might be huge! But until that day my lips... err, keyboard... is sealed.

Babria in ImagineFX
Yes, it is another one of those no-new-artwork news. But that's only because I left scans of new work at home and I'm posting this from my work (also, I hate working on Saturday).

This morning I received the new issue of Imagine FX, the most amazing magazine for digital art(work). I was flicking trough it when I come across the letters page in which, to my amazement, I find my letter printed! And not just printed but awarded as the star letter of the month!

I nearly fell from the chair out of the excitement! Not to mention my smile that was so huge my work colleague asked "what's so funny" thinking I might have discovered a funny YouTube clip. Wow! Thank you Imagine FX!

As I am a bit of a nerd and an addict to newsstands and magazines, I must say that with this letter all magazines I read, or had read before, have printed my letter at one time or another. :)
